First many congrats on your beautiful arrival….what a joy!!!
I first discovered your podcasts earlier this year and have been hooked ever since. I put them into my ipod and listen to them when commuting, its awesome!!! So thanks so much for that.

Ben, I think your spanish is wonderful, plus you are living out my dream….so I am a lil bit jealous!!! JAJAJA!!

Hi Ben & Marina – hope you’re enjoying family life with Lil’ Leo – I’m due to give birth in January to a boy also so am feeling a bit impatient!

Anyway, one suggestion for your future podcast: could you shed some light on the “culebrón” that involves “Ambiciones” and Jesulín De Ubrique? I’ve been reading ¡Hola! all these years about the protagonists in this family drama but have not fully understood the latest scandal surrounding La Campanario! I think this saga says a lot about the Spanish attitude to celebrity gossip and family loyalty, etc.

So great to hear from Ben and have something to look forward to in the new year!

Since I love clues and mysteries, I’m going to take a wild guess and say that maybe the cornerstone you refer to is the subjunctive mood in Spanish. The car park attendant’s quote used the subjunctive, so maybe that’s significant.

Can’t wait to hear all about “the next big thing”!

Thanks for all the comments everyone! Sue Wilcox, the transcripts in our store might be what you are looking for, but I agree with Tony, in ear headphones might make a big difference so you can enjoy all the free podcasts here!

Re: Sue R. Wilcox’s remarks above, I too am a little advanced in years “y soy un poco sordo” at 74 years. In a class I found listening very difficult, but with a small MP3 Player and “In ear” headphones I am almost sitting at the table with Ben and Marina!- Sue – treat yourself this Christmas.

Looking forward to this! As an American living in Mexico, I’m scouting out good resources for learning Spanish that I can share with others via my blog.

I learned my first Spanish living on the Costa del Sol quite a few years ago. Now and then when a Mexican looks at me funny, I wonder if I still have remnants of Spanish-from-Spain slang from that era!

I am definitely not very computer literate but I’ve enjoyed your “Notes in Spanish.” My brain discipline is too improve my Spanish – my level perhaps is low intermediate. I don’t want a podcast as my hearing is not good. What do you have that I can print off the internet from you and study. I’ve been to Spain twice – can’t get enough of it. I’m 82 and want to go back to Spain speaking more fluently. I am working with a tutor from San Sebastian but it’s not enough twice a month.
