but i have also read this in Cortazar: “Hubiera querido echar a correr” – Perhaps something like, “he wanted to take off on a run”

the other day a girl told me this one, because i asked her exactly what echar or echarse means. She gave me this one: “no me echas la culpa”. Like – “dont give me the blame”
