I'm a bit of a newcomer catching up on the advanced notes in Spanish podcasts and have just listened to this one, which I really enjoyed - just the kind of insights you only get from being in the country! You were asking about other customs listeners have come across: A Spanish teacher I had told me that if you say 'Qué aproveche' to someone who is eating, they will answer with 'Quieres..?' ie, do you want to try some? However, you never actually say yes as it's considered pretty rude! According to mi profe it was an unwritten rule in Spain, I've never actually heard it myself though...
