I understand that the name Desfiladero de Despenperros (Defile of the overthrow of the dogs) comes from the historic defeat of the Muslims at Las Navas de Tolosa a few K's south in 1212. Three Christian armies came together to defeat the Almohad forces of Mohammed II al-Nasir and opened the gate to Andalucia. As a film maker working on projects in Andalucia I find the region and the history fascinating. There are so many untold stories and it is fun to investigate.

Hola Marina y Ben.
John.

The videos take a few takes, at most 3, sometime we do it straight off. The podcasts often come out perfectly first time, but if we haven't recorded for a while we may need to start again a couple of times.

Classic! Nice videoblog. The end was humorous, a nice, human touch. How many takes does it take each of you roughly for your podcasts or videoblogs? Is there a difference in terms of how many for each?

I loved the outtake! It's good to know that even native Spanish speakers sometimes have a hard time too! ;) I must have restarted my videos about 10 times!
