Curiosidades del castellano - Días de la semana y meses del año
A diferencia del inglés, en castellano los días de la semana y los meses del año no empiezan por mayúscula.
Ejemplo:
- En España, el día de la madre es el primer domingo de mayo.
Ocurre lo mismo con las lenguas, en inglés escribiríamos English or Spanish. Sin embargo en castellano escribiriamos: inglés o español.
Ejemplo
- Ahora que tengo tanto tiempo libre me he apuntado a clases de inglés y de francés.

How does this work with titles of Novels or Movies in Spanish? Is it the same as English where all the words are capital except the little ones like ‘a’ ‘of’ etc…?

This is a very interesting question. In Spanish only the first word of the title is in capitals, except first names or name of places.
I found this examples in an editorial web page:
En inglés y en portugués las palabras de los títulos llevan mayúsculas —excepto artículos y preposiciones.
Ej: As I Lay Dying
O Crime do Padre Amaro
En español solamente la primera de ellas y los nombres propios.
Ej: Maldición eterna a quien lea estas páginas.
Los terribles amores de Agliberto y Celedonia.
En francés solo las dos primeras palabras importantes del título van en mayúscula.
Ej: Les Femmes savantes
Les Liaisons dangereuses
