Conversation Classes with Marina
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CLASSES ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THE MOMENT.
Marina is running a program of private, one-to-one Spanish conversation classes over the internet. These are available to anyone and ideal for:
- improving your spoken Spanish fluency
- interview or exam practice
- preparing a presentation
The classes are conducted using Skype (for free calls over the net) or the normal telephone. They may cover material from recent podcasts, or specific requests from you based on your practice needs. At the end of each class Marina will email you a summary of important vocabulary and helpful corrections.
Each class lasts 30 minutes and costs 15 euros (around 19 US Dollars or 10 UK Pounds), payable via Paypal’s secure on-line payment system before the class.
Choosing a time for your class
We have set up a Google calendar to timetable the classes: click on the button below to check the main available times (”Clase Disponible”), though other times will of course be considered if these aren’t convenient. Once you know when you would like a class, e-mail Marina directly to confirm the times. Marina will then reply with further details regarding payment and calling in for the class.

I had the opportunity to speak with Marina over the phone and she was very helpful. She doesn’t correct you while you talk which is a great thing because the flow of conversation is not interrupted. Instead, she is very busy noting the mistakes you make and the points where you could improve. It’s all very positive and helps a great deal.
15€ is not a lot of money - it’s in fact the standard one to one tuition rate for many things. I charge more than that for piano lessons actually. And by having a weekly conversation with a real Spaniard, your Spanish will improve.
I couldn’t recommend it enough.

He tenido un clase con Marina por telefono el viernes pasado y sin lugar a dudas el clase era muy útil. Antes del clase estaba un poco preocupada que no nos entendíeramos porque por telefono a veces esto puede ser dificil. También como hablo español a un nivel intermedio entonces ¡temí que la conversatión pudiera ser con muchas pausas! Sin embargo Marina era perfecta. No solo habló claramente sino comprendío el nivel apropriado para mí. ¡Gracias Marina! Lo hago ilusión a la proxima conversación.

Hola Marina,
Yo soy de Brasil y en enero voy a estudiar en enforex (espanol de los negocios), me gustaria tener algunas clases antes de viajar para Madrid. Es posible tener algunas clases en las proximas semanas en los horarios de 10:15 y 11:00.

Las hojas de ejercicios que acompañan los podcasts es un material interesante para aprender vocabulario y si lo que te apetece es dar una clase conmigo no tienes más que mirar el calendario y mandarme un mail.

Como Anette, yo también estaba preocupada, bueno un poco nerviosa, antes de llamar a Marina: ¿Cómo sería hablar por teléfono con una persona practicamente desconocida, en otro idioma y por media hora?
Sin embargo, resultó fenomenal. La voz de Marina me sonó tan familiar por los podcasts y fue muy fácil y agradable la conversación. Tener tu propia profesora de conversación es muy instructivo - absolutamente super: eres tú quien habla, no hay que ser modesto dejando la palabra a la otra o pensar en si el tema de la conversación le aburre. Tampoco hay una mezcla de idiomas o cambio de tema, como pasa cuando hablas con amigos hisponohablantes en “la vida real”. No tienes que avergonzarte por los errores, es el propósito de las clases ser corrigido.
Y Marina: No es por falta de interés o porque no aprovechara de vuestra conversación, hace dos semana - ni mucho menos. Sencillamente es por falta de tiempo y porque llevo un mes sin mi propio ordenador. Ahora tengo este, pero todavía no aquello. Espero que sigas ofreciendo las clases.

Sigo dando clases, así que cuando tu tengas ordenador y un poco de tiempo para hablar me puedes escribir un mail para reservar una clase. Me gustó mucho conocer un poco de la vida en Dinamarca a través de nuestra conversación.

If you are referring to the worksheets, then they only start at 35 for now, though soon we will be offering 31 to 34 as well. Saludos!

The thing is that I’m the only one allowed to edit the calendar, so you just have to choose the time that you prefer and send me an e-mail with your choice so I can book it for you.

Has anyone else problems with the calendar? I clicked the link and keep getting a Google parameter error. Will try again in the morning.
A million thanks, Ben and Marina, for the fantastic work with the podcasts. I only recently found them in iTunes and am happily catching up listening to all the podcasts in all three levels. One walking to work, the next one walking home, great stuff! If I can get over my inhibitions to talk over the phone for a half hour, I’d love to book a class. Not sure about the time difference - I’m 9 hours behind. Will consult the calendar.
