Hola,

I always thought CCTV means that it’s not a live broadcast and that no one is watching. I thought it is recorded so it could be accessed should something have happened.

I may be wrong. Would be nice to know though :)

Hasta luego

Hi John,

I think you may be right. Let’s ask the wikipedia!

Hi Ben,

after reading the wikipedia article, I’d say I was wrong. The acronym always made me think it was something special, but it’s what I would simply call “video surveillance” or a “security camera”.

CCTV, of course, sound much more interesting! :)

Oh, and thank you for your podcast. Just learned about form reading the El Pais Article. Good way to keep some practice in Spanish. I’m German and have studied Spanish for a couple of years, but am now working in Hong Kong.. The podcast helps me not to forget EVERYthing :)

Gracias

John

Hola.

Aqui donde vivo, casi todos los edifícios tienen camara de seguridad, así mismo en las tiendas hay asaltos.

Buena lección, gracias.
